Another week on the ranch ended and what an experience it was. Out at the lodge we hosted two men from Idaho who sure liked to hunt. After seven full days of dawn to dusk hunting, this guy was ready for his first days off since coming to South Africa.
Arrangements were made for me to travel to Port Elizabeth and team up with Youth with a Mission (YWAM). YWAM PE is a ministry that has been called to this area to begin a variety of initiatives. This base works with local high schools and churches to equip youth and young adults the tools necessary to improve their relationships and communication skills, while obtaining a holistic vision for their lives. They also coordinate and implement a Life Skills Training program that involves working within local townships and giving them practical skills. They partner with local business to attain interviews for these participants that enables them to obtain employment.
Today is the last day I will be in PE and what a pleasure it has been to see their emotion and devotion poured out for the brothers and sisters in Christ living within their community. They faithfully are a real life example of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) and have a grand Vision to Win and Disciple Port Elizabeth. This journey will inevitably bring trials and tribulations. I ask that you pray for them, their vision, and that they can obtain the resources necessary to implement the programs they are developing and administering.
