My Christmas Prayer

Ephesians 3:14-20

“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever, Amen!”

The bible does not contain God it reveals him. If you try to put God in a box, he will break out every time. Moments such as this happened with the birth of Jesus by the Virgin Mary, occurred throughout His ministry and have and will continue throughout all eternity. Miracles are an every day part of life and if you ignore them, God will break you, so that you may find Him or you will be consumed by darkness and be blind to them.

If you have man accepted and sought after dreams that don’t need the power of God to succeed, you are falling short of Gods glory. We are missing God if we think we have Him all figured out. We are conforming Him to be like us. To know God is to find that you increasingly know and control less.

My prayer today is that we all recognize Jesus, as well as when He returns. I pray that we are not caught up in our own image of Him, but in His image of us.
